På Taket at Tornhuset in Umeå, Sweden

The Roof is a rooftop terrace we have turned into a watering hole. An exuberant summer restaurant and party floor.
Towards spring, as the weather warms up, ”På Taket” opens: a restaurant within the restaurant, guided by exuberance, simplicity and ease.

A place made for gazing out over the town hall park and the Ume river, or for a bottle (or two) of Champagne in an ice bucket. ”Dancing on the ceiling” by Lionel Richie.
When late summer and autumn come knocking, we roll out the heated awning, serve crayfish and surströmming in August, open the shellfish weeks in September and lay På Taket's Christmas table in December. For those with something to celebrate, the Roof is open all year round for larger parties. Party. Floor. Did we say exuberant?
Sit down, drink something cold, eat something good, watch the people go by, and let the afternoons turn into long warm summer nights or soft, dusky autumn evenings.
Welcome up to På Taket.
